1. The first Unisa international ODL conference
   ICDE member institution, the University of South Africa will host the first Unisa International ODL conference from 5-7 September with the theme Open distance learning in digital, open and mobile futures.

   ICDE is a membership organization and depends to a large extent on income and engagement from institutions and individuals. 3. Quality reviews - call for reviewers
   ICDE is working to develop its Quality Review service for institutions and announces a call for interest for individuals willing to join the pool of reviewers. Reviewers work in small teams and study documentation, visit the institution, and submit a report. Remuneration is provided, and travel costs and incidental expenses are covered.

   ICDE's conference calendar features activities happening around the world related to open and distance learning. This article highlights the dates and deadlines for a number of key European conferences during 2012 including those of ICDE associate members EDEN and EADTU.
